The UAB Internal Medicine Residency Training Program is currently comprised of 87 Categorical residents, 20 Primary Care residents, 9 Preliminary residents, 16 Medicine-Pediatrics residents, and 4 Chief Medical Residents.  Our program offers two tracks of training through the National Resident Matching Program, with the three-year track providing optional choices for training in the Primary Care or Women's Health Tracks.
